It's travelling all day today (17 hours door to door) and it will be automobiles, planes, planes and automobiles. Up at 7am for the taxi to Split Airport where we will fly to Rome - the first leg of our journey to Casablanca in Morocco. The plane has been delayed incidentally.
We arrived in Rome at 1.30pm which is stage 2 toward Morocco. Now a 3 1/2 hour wait for the next leg to Barcelona.
Now in Barcelona at 7.15pm. Our Morocco flight is not until 9.50pm so it's another several hour wait.
We finally made it. It is now 2.15am (really 1.15am in Morocco) and we are all buggered. We met an American couple (Dominic and Monica - he has a Morocian mother and an Italian father) and he gave us his phone number insisting we ring tomorrow or should I say today to spend it with us to show us around. We also met a Morocian woman who gave us some great spots to visit here and in Malaga.
When we arrived at the hotel, the room only had three beds. The operators spent some time trying to work out a solution but eventually moved us to a room with still three beds but a lounge. Not one that pulls out just a skinny lounge.
What we have seen of Casablanca is interesting and we will take Dominic up on his offer.
I'm falling asleep as I write this. Good night.
