Day 22 - Prigradica, Croatia

Up early for brekky before the three hour ferry ride to Vela Luka. We allowed ourselves 15 minutes to walk to the dock but didn't realise it was more like half an hour as the ferry was at the furthest pier. We made it regardless and now I sit writing this looking out the window at the beautiful Adriatic Ocean.

We arrived in Vela Luka at 1.30 and walked another couple of kilometers to pickup our rental car. It's a small car so some creative solutions had to be found to fit us four and also the bags. On the way to Prigradica, we became lost and the GPS was useless as the roads here have yet to be mapped. As there are only a couple of main roads it was easy to find the right one and we arrived at the apartment at 2.45.

We stayed here last year as it has views of the Adriatic as far as the eye can see. It also has three bedrooms and two bathrooms so the we all have a little privacy for the moment. I took some video of the view from our balcony (we are the only ones here by the way) but I can't seem to load a video onto the blog.

We visited K's cousin Djana who lives in Blato for about an hour. She invited us for dinner on Friday which will be wonderful. The kids played with her grandchild and her friend despite the language barriers - they're getting very good at this.

K has promised to get up prior to sunset with me to take some early morning pics - we'll see!
